Tarleton loves to dance.
It was love at first step with Sacred Circle Dance, a world dance tradition that originated at the Findhorn community in Scotland. Beloved teacher, June Watts, author of Circle Dancing, was the spark.
For years Tarleton has led a very active Circle Dance, most recently at Tigg’s Pond Retreat Center, in Zirconia, North Carolina.
Tarleton is also a painter. Her beautiful paintings can be seen as “dancing circles,” which are center-piece floor cloths featured at the dances.
Before the dances, she offers frame drum classes in the Goddess Temple tradition of the late Layne Redmond and her current teacher, River Guerguerian of Asheville.
Tarleton has been a Shakespearian actor, comedian, singer, costume designer and stage magician, dancer and drummer. She practiced and taught martial arts for for over 16 years. She led a performing arts troupe, “The Mime Circus” around the world in all phases of production.
Tarleton lives with her family on an apple orchard covered mountain outside of Asheville, North Carolina, USA.
