Of course we can’t do it all ourselves. Thanks be to God we have friends who love what we’re doing and are more than willing to roll up their sleeves and help or lend us their expertise and know how. We have car parkers and bathroom cleaners, napkin folders and door list checkers, weeders and builders, stainers and cleaners, movers and cooks, copy editors and medics, people who help set up and people who help break down, people who spread the word and people who clear the energy – all volunteers, all so willing and eager to help where and when they can, all beloved by us for all that they do. We thank you, every one of you, for the hundreds of hours of labor and effort you continue to give us to make Tigg’s Pond Retreat Center’s programs and very existence possible. You make it all possible and you make it all worthwhile.
And we have been gifted with necessary equipment and wonderful extras as well as our friend’s love and labor. There’s the portable sound system, the keyboard, the First Aid kit, the table http://artsandhealth.ie/diclofenac/ saw, the camera, the “Budmobile” (specifically built to carry chairs from the Barn to the dock), the coat rack, the 40 person coffee maker, a topographical map of the area, the rhumba floor cleaner, the pots and pans for the kitchen, an outdoor fan for the Gazebo, the hibiscus tree, the baskets, the natural wood sign in desk, the fire screen, the swing, the humming bird feeder, the standing freezer, the phone system for the Barn, the bed for the Hermitage, the desk computer, two boom boxes, many table cloths, books, art work, outdoor tables and chairs and the long term loan of an antique couch and coffee table. I’m sure I have forgotten to mention some things that have become such a part of our lives that we forget when we didn’t have them. We remain so grateful for each and every one of these generous gifts, and we give thanks for the spirit of love and plenty that provided them. It shows the kind of people we are blessed to have work with us.
